  1. Lost permissions for my own OneDrive folder

    Hello,

I have a OneDrive folder with photos and videos in it. While trying to access one of the subfolders in that folder, it says for most of the objects in that folder that I don't have read permissions so I cannot view the photo/video. When I right click on the folder and select Properties > Security > Advanced, I gave "Full Control" to "Everyone" but it didn't fix the problem.

    Any help is appreciated

    :)

    OneDrive folder permissions - Fix

Found the problem. Lost permissions for my own OneDrive folder :)

While you are still listed as the owner of each subfolder in the OneDrive folder, some subfolders no longer have inherited permissions enabled.

If you Enable inheritance and OK for each affected subfolder in the OneDrive folder, it will no longer have any access issues or UAC prompts afterwards.

  4. Lost permissions for my own OneDrive folder

Setting up onedrive on Windows 10

    Hi,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

    1) My Documents folder will be there in both PC and in OneDrive folder.

    2) As you said that you have made inaccessible, I suggest you to follow the below steps and check if I helps.

    • Open the properties of the main user profile folder where the files are located (such as Documents, Pictures, etc).
    • Go to the Security tab and click Advanced.
    • Check the box at the bottom of this window. It is labeled "Replace all child object permissions with inheritable permissions from this object" and then click Ok.
Are you trying to open the music folder from OneDrive folder or from PC?

Please reply to us with the status of the issue.

    Thanks.
