Windows 10: Macrium combined Full and Diff schedule

I am only just getting to grips with Macrium Reflect. I don't particularly like the backup notation with numbers, why can't they say 'Full', 'Diff' or 'Inc' instead of numbers.
I have read the very good tutorial about backups but it only seems to be able to do one of the functions, Full, Diff or Incr within a schedule. I am still using Easeus at the same time until I get Macrium to give me the same flexibility without intervention.
What I need is to be able to initially do a Full backup, then say 'X' number of Differential then repeat the Full backup plus 'X' Diffs etc. The only way I can see to do it at present is based on days
Monday - Full backup on one schedule
Tuesday to Sunday - Diff backups on another schedule
There must be a way somehow as this is meant to be a flexible programme.

You can also look at the schedule definitions in Windows task scheduler but I wouldn't make any changes there or MR may get confused.

As for the defrags before the diffs I wouldn't. I think that would make your diffs larger.

 

Macrium Scheduled Backups Broken with Anniversary Update

I use Macrium Reflect V5 to automate my backups. Thank god I had done a manual backup before Creators update because CU bricked my PC and I had to restore from the image.

Anyway, I say manual backup because on March 10, Microsoft forced upon me the Anniversary Update which resulted in the scheduled tasks in Macrium Reflect being broken.

1) Why is Microsoft forcing these damaging updates on us?

2) How can I get my Macrium scheduled backups to run properly? I've uninstalled, reinstalled, recreated all my backup schedules and nothing works.

This is ridiculous. I'm half tempted to go find myself a copy of Enterprise LTSB. I won't make use of the bloatware MS sticks in new builds, so there's no sense in having them forced on me. STOP IT!

 

Problem with a combine taskbar icons.

In Windows 10, you can personalize the settings of your taskbar. If there are multiple applications opened, same applications will be combined under one taskbar button. If you want to change this setting, we suggest that you follow the steps listed below:

• Press the Start button.
• Click on the Settings app.
• Select Personalization.
• At the left side of your window, click on Taskbar.
• Under Combine taskbar buttons, choose Never.
