Windows 10: Macrium Download and install

I normally try to find the full Macrium installer, but as of today only the 5 mb version of v7.2.3957 was available.

It gives you the option to include both the Reflect installer and the PE components in the download.

To me, this action might indicate that the two components would be integrated, but they are separate.

When running the full installer, it says "WIM file not found", but you have the option to build the 1803 wim .

Does that mean the PE components are now integrated? This is confusing. What am I supposed to do with the pe10_1709x64.zip that was download? And why wasn't it an 1803 version?

One last thing. In the past several Macrium free versions, the "Add recovery boot menu option" is gone. Was it only removed in the free version? If not, is there an alternative aside from the rescue disk?

Restoring Windows 10 Image using Macrium Reflect


In addition to the above. Here's my suggestion in step by step.
I assume you have Macrium Installed in your current HD and already made a backup copy.

1. Connect your new HD via USB port and boot up.
2. Run Macrium, click on Restore tab then select the Backup Image that you made to restore
3. click on "select a different target disk" then select your new HD as destination
   
   
   
4. Proceed to restore then Shutdown and disconnect the old HD and replace with the new HD
5. Boot up with your new HD.

 

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

The tutorials provided are just a list of troubleshooting steps. Use only the steps which apply to you.

Since none of the troubleshooting steps here worked, I'd suggest you do a Clean install.
