  1. Macrium First Time - Goof?

Well gang, I am finally onboard with this tool and successfully created my first system image backup using this tutorial (Backup and Restore with Macrium Reflect). However the tutorial said that first usage would produce a request to create Rescue Media. This seemed like a good idea but the tool did not do this. I could not find the steps here so I went to the Macrium site and found it there.. I goofed and selected Windows Boot Menu rather than Removable USB Flash Drive when I cliked build.

    .
I next did it again with the correct selection. At first I had no idea what my mistake produced until I booted up this morning and saw an new screen.

    .
I did not clik either one and the machine proceeded to finish starting normally. I conclude that the Windows 10 boot option is the default.

    1. What did I do?
    2. What would happen if I had cliked the Recovery option?
    3. Can and how do I remove the recovery option/boot window and get my machine to it's prior state?

    thank you

    :)

Restoring Windows 10 Image using Macrium Reflect

In addition to the above. Here's my suggestion in step by step.
I assume you have Macrium Installed in your current HD and already made a backup copy.
    1. Connect your new HD via USB port and boot up.
    2. Run Macrium, click on Restore tab then select the Backup Image that you made to restore
    3. click on "select a different target disk" then select your new HD as destination

    4. Proceed to restore then Shutdown and disconnect the old HD and replace with the new HD
    5. Boot up with your new HD.

    Macrium Boot Question

    Macrium Boot Question

I use Windows 10 and a Macrium recovery program. My BIOS is set where the optical disk for CDs and DVDs are not set to recognize a CD/DVD disc as the first priority to boot from.

What are the steps I should take to make my Macrium Rescue Disk as being first to boot from?

    Thanks,

    Jerry

    Macrium First Time - Goof?

I'm having trouble with Macrium Reflect tutorial.

Strongly suggest you watch some youtube videos on Macrium and follow them step by step, making sure they are current.

Also make sure you have the manual to hand, and use the extensive help provided with the product.
