Hi all! Crusty here. Not used to asking for assistance (was a Microsoft MVP for 5 years and was able to help others). I have a conundrum here that has me stumped and would appreciate any insight/help. Using Macrium Reflex HOME Edition - paid (7.3.5758) with recovery boot drive. How do I connect to my WD 16 terabyte NAS. I am able to save the backup image to the NAS using the desktop version of Macrium. When booting from the recovery drive I find no way to connect to the NAS for recovery operations. What am I missing?

    :)

    Welcome to Ten Forums.

It should work the same way as you would in Windows, map a network drive.

    1. Browse for an image file.
    2. Click 'map drive' icon
    3. provide path and credentials

One point if your NAS requires SMB1, you'll have to make sure you enable that when you build the rescue media.

If you make the Win RE version of the rescue media you have the option to include WiFi support, if you made the Win PE media, then you'll need to use an Ethernet connection. The Win PE/RE environment should include standard windows drivers so in most cases that should be all you need. You have the option to add other drivers, if required.

Restoring Windows 10 Image using Macrium Reflect

In addition to the above. Here's my suggestion in step by step.
I assume you have Macrium Installed in your current HD and already made a backup copy.
    1. Connect your new HD via USB port and boot up.
    2. Run Macrium, click on Restore tab then select the Backup Image that you made to restore
    3. click on "select a different target disk" then select your new HD as destination

    4. Proceed to restore then Shutdown and disconnect the old HD and replace with the new HD
    5. Boot up with your new HD.
