Macrium Reflect only keeping one full image file

Using Macrium Reflect v 7 Free version which was just patched today. Windows10 1909 laptop. I have a definition file to image all of the partitions of a laptop drive to an external USB hard drive. The image is 302GB and the drive with one image saved to it has 628GB free. I have Macrium only do full images manually i.e. no schedule. I had the the job set to delete the oldest file when there was less than 300GB free on the destination USB drive.

Ever since Macrium was being used on this computer it has never had multiple full backups on the external drive. There has only been the last backup file in the USB drive. I have checked the log files and see no mention of Macrium purging files. It always reports that there is only 1 set found on the destination.

Anyone know if there is an issue of just doing Full Images of a drive without any differential backups and having multiple full backups?

    :)

Restoring Windows 10 Image using Macrium Reflect

In addition to the above. Here's my suggestion in step by step.
I assume you have Macrium Installed in your current HD and already made a backup copy.
    1. Connect your new HD via USB port and boot up.
    2. Run Macrium, click on Restore tab then select the Backup Image that you made to restore
    3. click on "select a different target disk" then select your new HD as destination

    4. Proceed to restore then Shutdown and disconnect the old HD and replace with the new HD
    5. Boot up with your new HD.

Loading an image (Macrium Reflect) of my C drive into a brand-new pc to retain browser settings, etc.

A few days ago I was told that to accomplish my goal I needed to use Macrium Reflect to take an image of my C drive, and then transfer the image to the new pc. I've done that, and would like to know if it's a simple matter of just transferring it from
my Seagate external HD to the new pc, so my browser settings, etc. will be as they are now...or are there any other steps I need to take in the process?

Thanks for the reply Gordon. So, connect the external HD that has the image, to the new pc, boot it up, and then run the 'restore' function of Macrium Reflect, for that particular image, is that correct?
