Windows 10: Mail App and AOL Issues

Good Morning. I have just purchased a new laptop and starting to go through and set it all up. I have gone into the Mail App to add my e-mail accounts, all of which are AOL. I have managed to upload one of them, sort off, its still not showing all of my e-mails but some are better than none. I've gone to upload another e-mail address and I now get a message that the account already exists but it doesn't show under the accounts bit and appears to be hidden. Anyone got any advice as to what I can do to resolve this - don't really want to throw the laptop out of the window just yet. Many th

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it.

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

• Open powershell as administrator
• Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
• Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)

 

Outlook trouble in Windows 10 handling AOL email

• Are you referring to Windows 10 Mail App?
• If yes, then is that an additional account?

If your AOL is an additional account in Windows 10 Mail App, then I suggest you to remove the account and reconfigure it and check the behavior. And if your AOL is primary a account, please get back to us for further assistance.
