Windows 10: mail app sync

I posted a question about my mail app not syncing earlier and was asked for additional information.


The mail app that I am using is the Windows 10 app. It is not syncing with my business Outlook account in Office 365. This seemed to occur after an update. I am not sure which update caused the difficulty, because I had both Windows updates and Office 365 updates. My personal Outlook accounts are still syncing with the app and my Android phone is pulling email from both my personal and business Outlook accounts.

Mail app will not open on 10041.

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it.

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

• Open powershell as administrator
• Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
• Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)

 

Mail App no longer syncing

The issue might arise due to mail app corruption, firewall from the security software hindering the network connection or due a proxy server internet connection

To better assist you with your concern, I'd like to know the following:

• Confirm which build is currently installed on your device. To check, follow the steps below:

• Press Windows key + R, then type in winver.
• Click OK.

• Are you getting any error messages?

Auto sync Windows 10 Mail app

I have a problem with Mail app on a Windows 10 system (updated from Windows 8).
The sync settings just don't work on any email accounts and (of course) in the calendar app. I can open mail app up and force a manual refresh/sync which will also update the calendar with entries I make remotely or via phone but the regularity of checks is not working. Do others see this? It kind of makes the lives tiles redundant as the actual apps will only sync manually.
I've checked other solutions like

• Enable\Disable sync options in Settings under "Calendar" section
  
• Run troubleshooting app from Microsoft
  
• Rebooting system
  
• Set app sync on "as items arrive" or "every 15 minutes"
  
• Update mail app
  
• Disable firewall
  

None of these "fixes" worked. Everything else is working fine. If I press sync button it works (it downloads mail and calendar events) but the app doesn't do this automatically.
(IMAP account)

Someone has\had same problem? And have you managed to rectify this problem?
