Windows 10: Mail error code: 0x80070490. Help!

My mail and calendar app has suddenly stopped working. I've reset it, and while it now works with my Hotmail account, it will not accept any of my other accounts. I keep getting this error code: 0x80070490. Help appreciated.

Error code 0x80070490 when reinstalling windows 10 mail

After finally getting Windows 10 Mail and Calendar to work (for a few months at least), it stopped working again earlier this week. It wouldn't even open! After over 2 hours with Microsoft support their solution was to create a new user and copy all my
files over. This is something I'd rather not do (just as a last resort). When I had problems originally last summer (when first upgrading to Windows 10) the solution that worked for me was to uninstall the Mail and Calendar app & then reinstall it. So I
tried again. I uninstalled the app (using commands from within the Powershell as administrator), rebooted, then tried to install the app again from the app store. It downloaded and started installing then stopped just before finishing with an error code
0x80070490. Does anyone know how I can fix this?

Update: I have since tried to install another app...same error message. I have done all the suggested steps to repair this error code, but still can't install any apps. HELP!!!
