Windows 10: Mail Fiasco

Well here I go again. Last year I was having a problem with the Mail App in Windows 10. To be specific when I opened the Mail App to view my emails none of the messages were showing graphics or pictures just text - which looked like machine language writing. So after relentless searching for a reason and a fix I found a solution to this problem going to the website: Into Windows. It seems that the Mail App was corrupt or got corrupted along the way.


So. The website suggested to remove the Mail App completely and then reinstall it. I did and it worked, that was 2 months ago. About 2 weeks later Microsoft automatically upgraded the version to 1809. About a month later the Mail app suddenly started doing what it did before, no graphics or pictures just text garbage. ( It's odd too that when I was viewing my email using the Mail App it was working and I went to do something else on the internet and when I came back to Mail it wasn't working.)


I did what I did before and remove the Mail App and reinstalled it doing this several times but it didn't work this time. I guess this program really does have a bug in it even after getting the new version of software. If any body is having the same problem out there I would sure appreciate knowing about it.

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it.

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

• Open powershell as administrator
• Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
• Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)

 

Mail app will not open on 10041.

I did that to no avail, then I ran WSReset.exe; now I'm good on all 3, Mail, Calendar and People! *Confused
Go figure!

Might want to consider the Antec P280. It's not listed that it supports CEB, but it does list XL-ATX (SR2) which is 343 mm by 254 mm. I measure up to 11.5 inches deep (to the edge of the cable routing grommets. 267mm = 10.51 inches. Worth a quick e-mail to Antec.
