    Mail Server Address


    I am trying to add a new email address to my Outlook email server. I tried to install it automatically but it keeps asking for my mail server. How do I find out what my mail server is. I have Windows 10, Office 365, Outlook 2016.

    any help would be appreciated

    E63 strange email problem

    Here are the basic server settings for Yahoo! Mail:

    Incoming Mail (POP3) Server: plus.pop.mail.yahoo.com (Use SSL, port: 995

    Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server: plus.smtp.mail.yahoo.com (Use SSL, port: 465, use authentication

    Account Name/Login Name: Your Yahoo! Mail ID (your email address without the "@yahoo.com"

    Email Address: Your Yahoo! Mail address (e.g., *** Email address is removed for privacy ***

    Password: Your Yahoo! Mail password

    E-mail settings on a 6101

    I need to set up my 6101 to operate with a business e-mail address rather than an ISP supplied address. I have managed to set up the incoming e-mail server address (POP server) and can download e-mails but I'm having trouble setting up the outgoing server
    (SMTP server).

    I have the server address (I use a talktalk account and the server address is smtp.talktalk.net) but I'm not sure what the SMTP username and password is all about. I've tried my talktalk account email address and password but this doesn't work.

    Any advice would be most welcome.

    Mail Server Address

    Is the new address being provided by your ISP/Internet Service Provider? Or are you using Online/Webmail such as Outlook.com, Yahoo, Gmail, etc.?

    Does Office 365/Outlook 2016 have an Outlook email server ?
    I use MS Office 2010, and use the MS Office client program Outlook 2010 in W10 and W7.
    I don't have an Outlook email server.
    Maybe things are different in Office 365/Outlook 2016 ?

    Post a screen print of the error message.

    I can't help if you have an Outlook email server.
