    Main Screen reverts to lock screen in less than a minute


    My new laptop has a problem with staying either on the main screen or app after less than a minute of inaction. The screen dims and goes back to the lock screen and I have to enter my pin number again. What's up with this?

    You can use your own image of any background and just go to settings/personalize/lock screen and click on browse as in the image below. It should make whatever picture you use as the Lock Screen

    We appreciate your response and the screenshots you provided! Since there's nothing wrong with the power options, we suggest that you check the screen saver. The screen saver might have been set to "Blank" with a timer of 1 minute. If it's set like that,
    simply change the "Blank" to "None". Here are the steps on how to change the screen saver settings:

    • Go to Settings, then click Personalization.
    • Look for Lock screen, and select Screen saver settings.
    • In the Screen saver drop down, choose None.
    • Click Apply, then OK.
    Once done, you can also restart your computer to make sure that the settings has been saved. Observe your computer and see if the issue persists.
