  1. Malicious removal tool

I run Malicious software removal tool (MRT) and it ALWAYS comes up with one file found.

When I list the details, nothing shows up in the list.

Today I ran MRT and it listed 3 files found - but once more nothing shows in the list.

Rerunning MRT again shows 3 files found.

So it suggests to me that MRT isn't doing its job.

I also ran Malwarebytes which found two files which I quaratined, then I ran MRT again, but still 3 files found.

    Any suggestions please ????

    :)

    > where does MS hide their downloadable Malicious software removal tool on this site?

The Malicious Software Removal Tool (MSRT) is not "built into Windows 10".

"Microsoft generally delivers MSRT with Windows Update the second Tuesday of the month. The standalone version available on this* page is delivered at the same time.
