  1. Malicious software removal tool

    I have Windows 8.1.

When I run the Microsoft Malicious Software Removal Tool, I always get 1 Malware found. It appears to show when the process gets to around where the Program x86 folder is, cannot say for sure since in processes so fast. It also could be around the TrustIntaller.exe. The log at the end of the process shows No Errors Found. I have tried reloading Windows, running Norton AntiVirus, Malwarebytes, Adaware and Spybot. Nothing gets rid of it or tells me where it actually is. Any idea how to determine where the Malware is and how to get rid of it.

    :)

The Malicious Software Removal Tool (MSRT) is not "built into Windows 10".

"Microsoft generally delivers MSRT with Windows Update the second Tuesday of the month. The standalone version available on this* page is delivered at the same time.

    Hi D4ni3l,

It is not a tool like protection software, it scans and removes malware but nothing more.

These are the different key ways from which the tool differs in comparison with protection software
