Windows 10: Malware in OneNote cloud

Hello,


I have finally found the result of the constant malware infestation, after a full clean insulation from USB and BIOS update. I pretty sure that 6 month battle between me removing this malware was not a result of root kit. I can finally confirm this because after 2 weeks of my computer not having malware and constant full scanning - I installed and opened my notes on onenote 2016, and scanned right after again with this result.





I need to remove this malware from the cloud that I keep installing, again and again. Is there a way to scan my Microsoft cloud Notes and remove it from there? My notes are around 1 + year worth of my work, and I dont want to lose it.


Please help me remove the malware from the Microsoft onedrive.

Hi,

It may be an issue with the add ins in OneNote, we suggest that you disable OneNote add-on and enable it. To do so, follow the steps below:

• Open Internet Explorer.
• Click Manage add-ons.
• On the left pane, click Toolbars and Extensions.
• On the right hand side of the page check for Send to OneNote add-on. Highlight
  Send to OneNote and click on disable.
• Once the add-on is disabled highlight the add-on again and enable it.

Note: To enable the File menu in Internet Explorer press the
Alt key on your keyboard.

You may also perform an online repair in Office 2007, to do an Online repair, follow the steps below:

• Press Windows + X.
• Click Control Panel.
• Click Programs and Features.
• Right click Microsoft Office, click Change.
  
• Choose Online repair.
• Follow the on-screen instructions.

Cortana and OneNote on Cloud

Thanks for the prompt reply;

Unless I'm doing something wrong, if I open OneNote on the phone, the only Share option I get for that note is to Share it by email.

I do hope Cortana will be eventually able to put OneNotes on the cloud, so they can be shared with my PC as well!!!!!

 

OneNote Cloud Synchronization

After I compose a note and exit OneNote the note get synchronized to the cloud into a folder named ‘personal(web)’. Can one synchronize into various folders, if yes, where can you set it up folder names.
