  1. Management Platform in Manufacturing Mode

I kept getting this message on boot and searched forever for a solution. Didn't really find a goid solid solution, so i made notes on whst i did find.

Went to HP and downloaded the specs and found a sort-of schematic. I think i solved the problem by unplugging the unitvftom the power cord, pressrd the power button and held it for 15 seconds to clear all the caps and other components that store a charge.

Then i removed the battery and pressed the CMOS button st the top of the DIMM slots.

There wss no jumper in the green Password Reset socket, so i used a 20ga. wire to short the two termibals in the Password socket.

I replaced the battery, plugged in the power cord, booted up and the Management Platform messsge was gone.

It SEEMS to be working fine now, except SFC ssys i have a whole slew of corrupted files. I think that is fixed by running sfv/scannow, but not sure.

Did I do right by performing the above proceedure, and was that the cause of the corrupted files? They dont seem to be related, but i dont know enough to determine any detrimental effects ofvthe proceedure.

I would appreciate any input and constructive criticism anyone may havecon this.

In short, could I have screwed up my PC?

    :)

Bitlocker and Trusted Platform Module problems

We appreciate the screenshot you sent.

This issue usually occurs because the Trusted Platform Module (TPM)
uses the manufacturer driver and not the Windows built-in Trusted Platform Module driver.

To resolve this, you can manually uninstall and reinstall Trusted Platform Module. To do so, see the steps below:

    • Open Device Manager on the device on which you are experiencing the issue
    • Uninstall the Trusted Platform Module driver.

Give us an update after following the troubleshooting steps provided.
