Windows 10: Many installed programs in Windows 10 64 bit show no size or a dubious size in Control...

Why do so many desktop programs show no size or an incorrect size? in Control Panel > Programs and Features? On my Windows 10 64 bit, Office 2016 Home and Business, my tax return program, and others show no sizes. From just a quick glance, I would say 40% plus of installed programs show no sizes, including large-company non-Microsoft programs.


Is there some careful rationale at work here, or is Microsoft indifferent to making this work right?


Also, it seems that none of the drop-down topic options in this message board is general enough to fit this question, which is annoying and may waste respondents' time. I picked "Microsoft store" as category because at least some programs come from there, but the question addresses multiple sources of installed applications.

Follow the steps to change the font size:

• Click on "Windows logo" and select "Settings".
• Select "System".
• You can change the font size here.

Follow the steps to go to Control Panel:

• Type "Control Panel" in the search bar.

MS Money Plus Sunset 100 GB Size?

I recently upgraded to Windows 10. MS Money Plus Sunset works fine on my computer. Today, I was looking at a feature in Windows 10 that shows program and app sizes. MS Money Plus Sunset is shown to be 100 GB in size! I looked at my older computer that
also has been upgraded to Windows 10 and it shows the program being 100 GB in size too. I took down the size of files on my main drive and then went to Control Panel Uninstall Programs. This program indicates that it is 100 GB in size here too. I uninstalled
the program and noted that it was no longer listed in the list of programs. When I check the size of files on my main drive, it is about the same, no where near 100 GB removed. So, I reinstalled the program and it again indicates it is 100 GB in size, but
no increase in file usage shows up when I check after re-installation.

So, my question is: Does this program really take 100 GB or is there an error in how this particular program displays its size?

Can someone else using this program check what Windows 10 thinks its size is? Use settings -> apps and features for a list of programs listed by size, or simply go to the uninstall program page of the control panel. Both of these setting show my MS Money
being 100 GB in size. But I can't find where that usage is being consumed. Odd.

 

Windows 10 64-BIT (Windows will not Reduce in Size)

Every window I open goes to full-screen size and using the HANDLES I can not get the size of the windows down to any size other that full-screen.

Any suggestions on to fix this, or is this how life is now using W10
