Windows 10: maps live tile dead

New version of maps came through on store updates this morning. It works fine but the live tile no longer seems to function. appears to be dead. Tried turning live tile off and on but made no difference. Seems to be same on our other pc too. Anyone else notice this? I love it when an 'update' breaks some kind of functionality!

calendar on my 950xl should show date in live tile.

Live tiles should give me useful information at a glance without having to open app. This is currently a dead tile.

I'm having the same problem with the Live (now Dead) Tiles on Windows Phone 7.8

That has been going on for over 4 years on mine, various Live Tiles do not work occasionally, thru Windows 8.1 to Windows 10.
I only have basically 4 Mail ones, and Weather. All of those have died at some point, why worry the next update will be next week.

 

Ok cheers. I agree the live tiles seem a bit hit and miss. They all seem ok at the moment apart from the maps one!

 

Same here with Weather, but stop using it. The only way to get it back was to reinstall the app. I guess it should work for Maps, unless it's an update issue:
