  1. Maximized windows snapping to the top-left corner when opening a fullscreen application/game?

Not sure what's going on here, but basically, if any game or app uses exclusive mode fullscreen, it'll snap my maximized windows into the top-left corner of the screen once I'm done elsewhere. What's happening, and is there any way I can fix this? Thanks.

Some issues with minimizing and maximizing games

Im trying the focus assist option right now, i will get back with the results.

Alright, so turning focus assist off seems to have reduced the time it takes for my games to minimize and maximize, but i still get the annoying messagebox in the top left corner of the screen. I would also like if all my games would minimize and maximize instantly, but its a step in the right direction.

Also, my games are running in exclusive fullscreen mode.

Snap Assist to top and bottom in portrait mode

I work in Portrait on my desktop and have found an almost-but-not-quite solution building on Eeshwar's suggestion.

    1) Snap a window to one of the corners. For this purpose we'll say you have your notes app and Snap it to bottom-left or bottom-right.

    2) Size the snapped window horizontally to fill the screen

    3) Snap "top" window to either top corner - the window will match the size of your previously-snapped bottom window and fill the rest of the screen.

    This solution has drawbacks:

    1) Extra step - you must resize the initial window after snapping

    2) No official keyboard shortcuts

Maximized windows snapping to the top-left corner when opening a fullscreen application/game?

Maximized Apps are Stuck in Upper Left Corner, only Un-Maximized Apps can be Moved

    How can I

move a Maximized app from the upper left corner without it being un-maximized or resized?

Since Windows 10, I have no longer been able to move Maximized apps from the upper left corner of my screen without first being un-maximized and re-sized by Snap or manually.

99% of apps consume the entire screen, so there is no need to move maximized apps consuming the entire screen. However, anyone who uses virtualized applications, Remote Desktop sessions, and maybe multiple monitors, will probably like maintaining these
smaller windows in their Maximized state since they do not consume the entire screen.

Another reason to Not resize apps is they will likely not be put back in their Cascade, Stacked or Side by Side positions if those arrangement features are used.

In earlier Windows PC Versions and Windows Server versions, it is easy to Maximize an application window like a remote session and move it from the upper left corner to a different location on the screen without it un-maximizing.

My current work around is to manually or programmatically resize my RDP and virtual application windows to their "maximum" size in the location where I want them to go - and give up the Windows Stacked, Side-by-Side, and Cascade features.

I posted this under the "Ease of Access" section because in Windows 7 and 8.1, this issue used to be correctable by checking the "Prevent windows from being automatically arranged when moved to the edge of the screen." Checking this option in Windows 10
turns off Snap making then maximized windows truly stuck in the upper left corner until manually "restoring" them to non-maximized state.

Maybe, if enough people using RDP and multiple monitors "like" this post, Microsoft will provide a fix or retro setting to correct this issue.
