Windows 10: May 2020 update ver 2004 failed to install.

I have two systems running 19041.388, one desktop, one laptop both win10 pro with 8gb of ddr3.

These were both upgraded using the media creation tool using iso for legacy bios, had a few issues but nothing major

I could not fix .

I download another iso using the media creation tool, use ruffs to create a UEFI bootable USB drive.

Start the update from the exe on the drive, windows installation gets to the second restart and hangs to a blank

desktop; after a few hours, I hit the reset button to restart the PC where it goes through the restoring changes to the pc.

Now after I log in,I start to get AMD server Exe error messages saying the file path can not be found.

I downloaded the driver from AMD and do a factory install of the driver, this fixes the error messages.

I have driver install settings turned off.

I am aware that the Nvidia drivers have to be a certain build but not AMD, I am on the latest Adrenalin 20.7.1 rx580 8gbvram

windows 10 May 2020 (build 2004) update installed ok, about & ver say still on 1909

Hi

any thoughts on this, this is on a domain connected work PC, w10 Pro, updates via WSUS.

update history says it installed successfully

"Feature update to Windows 10 (consumer editions), version 2004, en-us x64

Successfully installed on ‎12/‎07/‎2020"

system about & cmd ver both say it's still 1909, 18363.900

MCT = forced update using MediaCreationTool2004.exe

All Malwarebytes settings at default except, Beta updates = Enabled

Remove 2004 from the Recovery environment. I suggest not to install a feature update within 1 month of the initial release.
