TazzTammy2 ... nothing is a dumb question. If you knew the answer you would not ask.....

So, take your device and call yourself .... it should get you into your mailbox where it will ask for your password you setup and then will play your messages.

You may also have a pre-defined contact on your device for voicemail or a SPEED DIAL that is already set for getting Voicemail.

If you never setup your voicemail then call your cell provider and they will guide you through it. I hope that helps...

Since I can't update Win 7 to build 10240 I guess it is a moot point. I have an ISO but I doubt that it will activate.

Going by my own experience with the latest W10 and trying to dual boot with W8.1.....no. it corrupts the MBR.
Have solved the above problem by purchasing a dual hot swap front opening SATA hard drive rack.
8.1 on one SSD and W10 on another. Only one connected at a time.
Whether this will work with two W10 on the same computer only time will tell.

I don't know about Win7, but my current installation of 10240 was done as an upgrade over an activated copy of 8.1. This was from an .iso. (I generated that from the .esd from my original upgrade from 10166.)The result is activated.

Is it OK to dual boot an OS with the OS it was an upgrade from? Does Microsoft give you a hard time about that, even if only one of those is active at a given moment? (Just curious. These are not rhetorical questions.)

No I can continue to use the TP far past the 29th. I just have to stay in the Insiders Program.

  11. Doing an upgrade from one OS to a newer OS has always been a dicey proposition. Nothing new now!
I've reserved my copy of Windows 10 to be delivered from MS sometime after the 29th, but before I take the upgrade, I will have a cloned copy of my 8.1 on a separate internal HD. So my 8.1 will never get corrupted by Windows 10.
I'll have 10 on one drive and 8.1 on another drive and never the two shall meet!
It's a little bit like having two girl friends at the same time.

Anyone who thinks they will continue to use a Beta Test copy of Windows 10, past October is living a fools existence.
MS has already told us, that the test versions will die on October 29.

I'm running Windows 10, 10240 right now, on my main PC, but it's running on a spare hard drive that I've just jacked in for this test. My main HD with 8.1 on it, is unplugged and safe.

I've not installed Firefox on here yet, so I'm using Edge, by default, and I really hate it. Or in other words, it really sucks!

    Cheers mates,

Then you had better read some of Gabe Aul's Tweets. I even think it is posted in this forum. New build will still come out past the 29th.

  15. Did I say it wouldn't? I don't think so. Unless we're talking about two entirely different things,,,,and I'm beginning to think we are.

OH....and I've just installed Firefox.....much easier to configure and work with than Edge.
