Windows 10: mbr2gpt.exe failure leading to no video output

    mbr2gpt.exe failure leading to no video output


    Hello all,

    I was trying to switch from bios to uefi as my keyboard was not active until windows loaded thus preventing me from updating my motherboard bios. It was suggested i run mbr2gpt.exe to switch from legacy to uefi. It gave me the reagent error but said it was successful. After restart i cannot get it to output any video signal from any port be it on board or gpu. Any help would he appreciated.

    The video explains that the methods used in your suggestion will destroy data and that is why the new utility MBR2GPT is the recommended solution. Since this utility is new with the latest Fall Creators Update, it may need updating. I hope someone has more
    experience with it and can shed some light on why it fails for me.
