Discus and support MBR2GPT in Windows 10 Customization to solve the problem; I want to switch to uefi mode. So, I tried to convert my computer's partition style from MBR to GPT.     I want to switch to uefi mode. So, I tried to convert my computer's partition style from MBR to GPT. But, whenever I execute the command


    mbr2gpt /validate


    It says "can't found os partition(s)"

    I recently deleted 450 MB recovery partition,which I had to delete as I came to know that the command don't work when there are more than 3 primary partition.


    What could I do know?

    I want a way which is free and don't require wiping all my data.

    The video explains that the methods used in your suggestion will destroy data and that is why the new utility MBR2GPT is the recommended solution. Since this utility is new with the latest Fall Creators Update, it may need updating. I hope someone has more
    experience with it and can shed some light on why it fails for me.

    Your computer is already booting in UEFI mode which means the drive is probably already in GPT format. What makes you think it isn't?

    What does diskpart, list disk show?

    Sir,

    I appreciate your help but

    It requires pro edition for the function,the conversion is not possible on the free edition.Is there any way to use the system provided
    mbr2gpt tool and I wish to know why the
    validation failed?
