    Mcafee Notifications.


    So, I don't like the mcafee antivirus, so I installed a different antivirus. My mcafee free trial expired about a year ago, but it still has annoying popups every hour that get in the way of whatever I'm doing and tell me I have no protection and need to buy their subscription. I tried uninstalling mcafee on one of my computers, and then the computer wouldn't boot. It took me 10+ hours of trouble shooting before I figured out the manufactor put in something into the bios to prevent it from booting without mcafee. I don't want to have to do that again with my other computer, even though it is a

    Yeah, thats not a solution she is interested in......I've suggested that course of action. Thanks though.

    Just to clarify, I feel that there MUST be a step, or series of steps to turn off JUST the wireless notification sound. Thats what Im driving @ here.

    Stop McAfee notifications

    My daughters ultrabook has Windows 10 on it.
    She does not have McAfee installed.
    Yet recently she started getting lots of notifications from McAfee, about 5 or 6 a minute.
    She temporarily solved the problem by just turning off notifications, but I am hoping to fix the problem so she can turn notifications back on so she doesn't miss emails etc.
    A search of her system shows no McAfee product installed.
    How can I find what is causing these notifications and uninstall it?
    Very frustrating!
