Windows 10: Mcafee ovinspecutions.com warning pop-up

Hello. I opened an invitation for a Linkedin connection and that seemed to trigger or introduce a pop-up that suggests I have viruses and appears to be from McAfee via something called ovinspecutions.com. I searched ovinspecutions.com and it seems to be a bad actor and should be removed. All removal remedies make me suspicious. Does anyone out there no how to get rid of this annoying pop-up without putting anything else at risk? Thanks in advance for your help.

McAfee web advisor on Microsoft Edge Protection Warning

I recently got a "pop-up" warning from McAfee that Edge does not yet allow browser extensions which enable McAfee to protect personal info and identity. McAfee recommends using Internet Explorer so they can continue protecting you. The pop up will
unpin Edge and pin I.E. Several questions: Is Microsoft going to fix Edge so it is works with McAfee or any other security service or should I just use I.E. in place of Edge?

 

McAfee System Error Pop-Up

I'm still getting it, sometimes worse than others, and sometimes it doesn't say McAfee. Every now and then I get "Bling-blong!" and there it is in the corner of my screen warning me that I'm infected by 5 viruses. Sometimes as soon as it goes I get another similar one pop-up straight after! It's like I'm being spammed! I've tried a pop-up blocker and I still get it.
