    MDT Fails when deploying 1803 and 1809


    Dear Colleagues,


    I would like to ask for your assistance:


    - I have a Windows Server 2012 R2. 1809 ADK, MDT 6.3.8456.1000, DISM 10.0.17763.1 + WinPE 1809 installed.

    - Deploying Windows 10 1703 is always succeed.

    - I have an alternate DeplymentShare on the same server and 1803 deployment is succeed.

    - Reference Image .wim file caputed with DISM 10.0.17763.1.

    - But with the main DeploymentShare I am unable to deploy the OS. I receive the following error after extracting .wim (100%):


    LTIApply.log

    ...

    Error: 50 DISM does not support servicing a Windows Vista RTM or earlier operating system.

    If the operating system us supported chech that SSShim.DLL is present.

    ...


    Did any of you run into this issue?

    How to use out of box driver settings in MDT 2013 for list of selected model + Common driver for un selected model

    Hi,

    Windows10 Ref image.

    Can any one please give the steps to inject drivers in MDT task for few selected model.

    the same way I need to deploy common drivers for other models [ not in the selection list]

    Sorry for a delayed reply.

    You are not doing anything wrong. I would not bother to update image before deploying it because, as you noticed, MDT will do it in any case.

    Windows Updates reinstalled by MDT ?


    Hello

    I have a Windows 10 1607 hyper-v reference image I update with all Windows updates prior to capturing and deploying. I recently noticed that when MDT gets to the Windows update step it is reinstalling many if the same updates I had already added to the image. What am I doing wrong?
