Windows 10: media creation tool error 0x80070017-0xA001A

i just used the media creation tool to make 2 different windows bootable drives one dvd formatted in windows as "Mastered" and one usb


i have the new experimental windows 10 version 2004 which is apparently riddled with bugs. The only other person who asked the same question that i have did not get an answer, but said he was using an experimental version of windows.


i just tried creating a 3rd bootable windows drive it was a disc that was Live file system but as it got to 100% downloading windows 10 onto disc, it gave me error 0x80070017-0xA001A .

Users attempting to create bootable media using the Media Creation Tool, might encounter error message: 0x80070017-0xA001A. Not much information is given as to why this error is happening, but a Microsoft employee on the Microsoft Community, disclosed,
the software firm recently refreshed the Windows 10 ISO media; making it a bit larger than 4.7 Gbs.

Users will now have to use either a 8 GB thumb drive or a dual layer DVD to make a bootable copy. If you download a combination of architectures 32 and 64 bit, along with Home and Pro editions, you might need a USB media with 16 GBs of storage.

Media Creation Tool Error Code 0x80042405-0xa001a

What causes 0x80042405-0xa001a error at 50% during creating Windows 10 Media on USB flash drive when running the Media Creation Tool? I have Windows 10 April 2018 Update and need to update the installation media.
