Windows 10: Media Driver is missing - Windows 10 USB Flash installation

Hi.


I had Windows 10 installed on my PC, but, after a W10 update, I realized that I couldn't get to the BIOS during bootup ("press F2/Del" screen wasn't appearing anymore), so I decided to clean install Windows 10. This exact same thing already happened to me some months ago, and I could successfully reinstall W10. Now, I can't.


Also, I can't access the BIOS. When I boot up, a blinking cursor appears on the top-left hand corner, and any key does anything. I've read tutorials and "solutions" for hours, trying and nothing. Removed mobo's battery (it shows this message afterwards), changed mobo's bios jumper (doesn't boot up if so), Ctrl+Alt+Supr + F11, F1, F10, F12, unplugging USB devices, unplugging HHDs/SSDs, leaving only one RAM DIMM...


I've tried burning the ISO file to a USB flash through Media Creation Tool (v.1803), then trying to install all previous versions (1709, 1703, 1607, 1511 TH2U2, 1511 TH2U1, 1511 THU, TH1) from this page and using Rufus 3.3, GPT or MBR, FAT32 or NFTS, etc. But the same message appears when I launch the installer:


"Media driver is missing..."


Changing to another USB port solves nothing.


I don't really know what is the problem. I can actually install Ubuntu through USB Flash, but not Windows 10. I haven't overclocked my CPU recently, and no BSOD has showed up. Which is the problem?

Windows 10 USB boot

Hi there, am not a windows 10 expert. I have a pc in the bedroom on windows 10, I messed up the bootloader trying to fix the xp on that system.

System wont boot, trying to repair via win 10 usb installer.

Downloaded the media creation tool to install windows 10 installer on usb stick. Not compatible with a host of usb sticks I have. Tried the usb sticks that others use, but I think they use rufus; as the media creation tool by win 10 does not detect the usb stick.

So quick question, the win10 machine i am trying to repair the bootloader is a win7 upgraded to win10.
If i were to use the usb win10 installer to "repair installation" does the version of the iso downloaded via the media creation tool matter?

There is three options:
Windows 10
Windows 10 Home
Windows 10 N

Also is there a step by step instead of using rufus as I want to try an alternative method of creating a usb win 10 installer. Preferably with more compatibility.

System is a asus sabertooth 990 (r2?) with AMD phenom X 6.

Also is there any other software I can load onto the usb that can repair the bootloader easily?

When setup starts I can get past where you select your language and keyboard type but then I run into an error that says:

A media driver your computer needs is missing. This could be a DVD, USB or Hard Disk driver. If you have a CD, DVD or USB flash drive with the driver on it Please insert it now.

Note: if the installation media is in the windows DVD drive or on a USB drive, you can safely remove it from this step.

I created intsllation media many times. I downloaded even new Windows 10 using Media Creation Tool.

 

Windows 7 wont install drivers

i dont think anyone here understands what your asking either when its nearly a 90% english dominated Tech forum.
Step 1
reinstall windows from scratch
Step 2
install all drivers from the cd that came with the god damn motherboard *common sense*
Step 3
update windows
Step 4
install misc etc crap like flash java etc etc
Step 5
Install GPU drivers
Step 6
go back to using your pc without issue.
