Windows 10: Media Player Causing Blue Screen Stop Code

Hi


I am using Windows 10 Home N edition. Whenever i try to open a video file using Windows Media Player, I get a blue screen error - STOP CODE : PAGE FAULT IN NONPAGED AREA.


I tried HD Video Player from Microsoft Store recommended by Microsoft https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/hd-video-player/9nblggh111z0?activetab=pivot:overviewtab & am able to play them normally without any trouble.


Stop Code happens only when I use Windows Media Player.


Please help me fix it.

Windows 10 Media Player stops and starts at random

• Do you get an error message when it stops?
• Is it only happening when using Windows Media Player and Groove Music?
