Windows 10: media player issues

when using the media player if I have the volume on the video doesn't load but if I mute the volume it loads perfectly, I also have no sound at all. I've tried troubleshooting I get nothing

Run the Windows Media Player Settings troubleshooter
and check, if the issue persists.

Follow these steps to run the troubleshooter:

a. Press “Windows key” on your keyboard.

b. Type Troubleshooting and click Troubleshooting under Settings.

c. Now select Programs in the search option.

d. Under Media Player, select Windows Media Player Settings
to run the troubleshooter.
