  1. media streaming on network.

I have windows 10 pro version 10.0 build 17134 in an HP envy. I have tried to turn on file sharing and media streaming. when I try to turn on media streaming it fails and Windows services administrative tools option appears with Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service or a service it depends upon failed to start and to use the services administration tools to find what isn't starting.

    :)

  2. media player streaming on network

Hello JohnBoardman1, my name is Irisdiel and I am an independent advisor.

Down below I'm going to provide you with methods and instructions that can lead you to a probable solution on your issue.

Method 1: I would suggest you keep the computer in clean boot mode and check if the issue persists.

A clean boot helps to verify if any third party application services or startup item is causing this issue.

You may refer the following KB article to set the computer in clean boot:

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: After the troubleshooting steps, refer to Step 7 from the clean boot link to set the computer back to normal startup mode.

Method 2: I would also suggest you follow the steps to run the Troubleshooter from the link and check if the issue persists.

Open the Windows Media Player Settings troubleshooter

    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Ope...

For reference, you could also change your settings for streaming media in Windows Media Player if your issues persist:

    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Cha...

    Thank you and good luck,

    Regards- .

  3. Media Streaming DLNA no longer works after Anniversary edition upgrade

    Hello,

Most of the DLNA servers can be fixed by reconfiguring it on your computer. So, I would suggest you to remove the DLNA servers from your computer and reconfigure it again to check if it resolves the issue.

If issue still persists, I suggest you to follow the steps below and check, if it helps:

    • Go to system tray and click on network and sharing
    • Select change advanced sharing settings at the left top of the screen
    • At the bottom select All network
    • Under media streaming, select choose media streaming option
    • Under show devices on select customize from Xbox
    • Uncheck the Use default settings and check mark make all of the media in my library available to this device

Post back if the issue persist. We’ll be glad to assist you further.

    Thank you.

    Windows 10 - media streaming

    • Resolved Media Streaming issue. Go to settings, type services into search box, left click on view local services, scroll down list to Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service and left click on it.

In the center of the popup box you will see Startup type:. Click on the drop down arrow. There will be four choices. I chose Automatic and media streaming is enabled on my computer once I set it.
