Windows 10: Memory integrity in core isolation defender cannot be enabled due to incompatible drivers....

There were a few drivers listed as incompatible at first. I went in and just deleted some drivers directly from their respective locations. Now it shows an empty list and memory integrity cant be turned on. Why?

How to enable memory integrity due to incompatible driver csrbc.sys?

Hi Roger,

The file csrbc.sys seems to be the USB dongle driver. If you no longer use the hardware, you can delete the driver.

Open an Admin Command Prompt and run:

• SC.EXE DELETE CSRBC
  

Alternatively, you can delete the driver using Autoruns.

• Autoruns for Windows - Windows Sysinternals (Run Autoruns as administrator, find the csrbc.sys entry, and delete it)

There are a rising number of cases of Memory Integrity recently, which according to a senior MVP and Moderator here is due to another attempt by Microsoft to certify manufacturer's drivers - something which has been tried and failed before due to some manufacturers ignoring it. It also appears to be buggy because its flagging Windows System drivers. Here is what you can do:

Memory Integrity switched off because of driver

Hi Stephen,

Download Autoruns from the Microsoft Sysinternals site, and run it as administrator.

In the search box in Autoruns, type the driver file name "wdcsam64".

If wdcsam64.sys appears in the list, right-click and choose Delete.
