Windows 10: Memory integrity will not turn on

I tried to turn on Windows 10 Memory integrity core, under Device Security for Defender, but it won't let me saying there is a device incompatibilty.


I know that all VMM is turned on in BIOS on my B75a-G43 , and virtual software is turned on in windows services as it had to add software after ticking the box for that item.


I know the BIOS has both VMM and VT-D enabled, isn't that enough or if not what's missing ?


The notification popup says : Page Missing, The page you are trying to access has no supported features and is not available, then OK ofc.


Any ideas why this isn't working when clearly the bios supports it ?

Cannot Turn On Core Isolation Memory Integrity in Settings

Not able to perform steps in Option 1
Under "Windows Defender Security Center", "Device Security" is not an option.
Winver reports Version 1709 (OS build 16299 402)
The processor is Intel I3
Virtualization is enabled in system BIOS.


Please advise.

My Logitech webcam is one of those drivers that doesn't work now, with this turned on.

But, Microsoft provides their own generic drivers for webcams(in Device Manager), just basic ones with no frills, but enough to work in Skype.

Samsung and Logitech are notorious for not updating their certificates, so it is to be expected I guess*sarc

Hey guys,

I have two questions about this topic:

• After I turned on the memory integrity check, my system was unable to shutdown. Well .. it did shut down, but after completing the shutdown sequence, the hardware refused to power off. The monitor was black for some seconds, I heard the HDD "clicking" sound as the head went to the sleep position, but after a short while the system was booting again. Fans did not stop spinning during this process. Anyone else experienced this problem?
  I just updated to the latest BIOS and the latest MEI driver without any success. Turning off memory isolation fixed the shutdown issue.
  
  
• So enabling this option virtualizes the complete host system and makes it impossible to run 64-bit guests? That would make this new feature useless for me and I guess many other experienced users :/
