Windows 10: Mic

Hello, I recently purchased a Slim Desktop HP S01 MDL , since day one the mic has not worked . I checked all drivers and settings in Task Manager and so on all checks show that Mic is working . My old pc a Pavilion the mic works fine but there is a seperate Mic connector 3.5 . The Slim Desktop , HP dropped one connector , now there is only a green and a blue , the green is obvious it connects the speakers , but if the blue is for the Mic it's not working . When I first plug in the mic and test it , the bar blips blue and the input shows line in , but after seconds , this goes away and it shows mic is unplugged . This is also a 3.5 jack . Since, HP only likes to sell product's and not publish complete manuals on operations . I was hoping to find some help . On a separate note , it would be nice to get the service and or upgrade Manual in English , if anyone knows how I may obtain this .

USB Mic Problems.

The next step is what I suggested originally. Try it in a friend's PC or take it to Best Buy and ask them to try it one of their PC's. Have to confirm the mic is working OK.

This might occur when some of the mic setting got corrupted.

I would suggest you to try running Recording audio troubleshooter.

Follow the below steps:

• 
  Type Troubleshooting in the Search area on the taskbar and select
  Troubleshooting.
  
• 
  Select Hardware and Sound.
  
• 
  Select Recording Audio under
  Sound and follow the on screen.
