Microphone default format has gone down

Hello, when I first bought my microphone a couple weeks ago the default format was the studio quality, recently I noticed my microphone's quality dropped, it was a lot worse, so I looked at my default quality and it was DVD, no option of studio, I searched up everywhere for an answer and no one had one. I have tried restarting windows audio, restoring defaults to my properties and updating the driver it said the driver was up to date if anyone has had and fixed this problem I would appreciate you helping me out

    :)

  3. Microphone Default Format.

I have an Asus X540LA Laptop, with Realtek HD Audio Manager.

The Microphone device is known as "Realtek High Definition Audio".

When I go to Realtek HD Audio Manager -> Microphone -> Default Format,

I get only two options that are

    1. 16 Bits, 44100 Hz (CD Quality)

    2. 16 Bits, 48000 Hz (DVD Quality)

How can I get more options, like 24 Bit 48k Hz (Studio Quality) and above ? I updated the drivers, still didn't work.

When I go to Sound (by right clicking speaker icon on bottom right) -> Recording -> Realtek High Definition Audio -> Properties -> Advanced

There too, I get only two options. Please help. I need 24 bit or above audio for recording important stuff.

    (My microphones :

    USB : Samson Go

AUX : Boya BYM1, Boya MM1) are capable of recording 24 bit audio.

If It can't be changed, plz suggest a third party audio manager which can handle this issue.

    Microphone issues

    Hi Michael,

Here are the possible reasons why you're getting an error "The microphone did not pick anything up" when using it:

    • Incorrect settings (microphone is not set as default device)
    • Corrupted or outdated driver
    • Faulty device

For us to isolate the issue, we'd like to know the following:

    • Were there any changes made to your computer prior to this issue(e.g. Windows updates)?
    • Have you tried connecting other microphone to your computer?
    • Have you tried connecting the microphone to the other computer?

In the meantime, we suggest running the Recording Audio Troubleshooter to find and repair problems with recording sound. We also suggest checking if your microphone is set as your default recording device. For troubleshooting steps, please see
    Geethu B's on this
    link.

We're looking forward to your reply.
