Windows 10: Microphone doesn't work anymore - Realtek - Driver issue

Hey,

and thanks in advance. So the problem is that my microphone doesnt work anymore. It seemed that it stopped working randomly. Don't know if there was relevant windows update.

The microphone in question is inbuilt 3.5 mm cable from Sennheiser HD 598 CS connected to my Display which is VG249Q1R .

I am running windows 10 with Geforce GTX780.

Things I've tried:
1. Mess with the sound control panel Show disabled and disconnected devices. Obviously none of the "recording" devices is picking up any audio.
2. Installed/updated and uninstalled Realtek and Nvidia drivers from device manager couple times. I did these without really knowledge of what I am doing tbh... Restarted computer every time.
3. Messed with the "Disable front panel jack detection"

I think the problem is related to having both Nvidia drivers and realtek drivers affecting my audio inputs? I unfortunately dont' even know which input/recorder should be my microphone.

My headphones microphone doesn´t work

I recently updated my Asus laptop to windows 10 and noticed that my microphone doesn´t work anymore. Before it was working well and after the update it started using my laptops own mic and in settings i cant change input to anything

 

Microphone doesn`t work

My microphone and ear-phone doesn`t work. Please help me, I have windows 7 home basic, my computer reproduces a sound, but devices no.

 

Scanner doesn´t work anymore after last Windows 10 update

As many people on the internet already are discussing, their scanner doesn´t work anymore after the last Windows update. But there seem to be no solution.

My Scanner starts making noises, as usual, and then i get error messages: "Communication with the scanner is not possible"

Is there a workaround for that?
