  1. Microphone Feedback loop

My microphone has a feedback loop coming from all audio on the computer, any audio played will be registered and played on the microphone, this happens with speakers, headphones, and even with no audio-playing device. This only happens with the Realtek drivers, all microphones from cameras and internal work fine, its just the one Realtek one.I have the latest updates to everything, from windows to the drivers and it doesn't work.

    :)

Feedback Loop on Sound - Microphone always listening

Pretty new Win 10 installation Pro Version 19045. My sound in/out devices are a set of speakers and a webcam with microphone. I only need the webcam microphone on Skype, microphone on search via Chrome, sometimes phone calls on Google Voice. However, the microphone is always on and creates a feedback loop when I turn the speakers higher. Speakers are turned away from the mirophone. I just reset the System > Sound > Advanced Sound options without success - cannot figure out which setting is wrong. Thanks

  3. My headset's built in microphone's not working

    Hello Mikkel,

We just want to confirm, are you referring to feedback loop? If yes, note that you may hear feedback from your PC speakers if
one or more of the the following conditions are true:

    • You increase the Microphone Boost option.
    • The speakers are too close to the microphone.
    • The speaker volume is turned up so as the microphone hears the speakers.
    • You have a very sensitive microphone.

You may be able to reduce or eliminate the feedback you are hearing by trying the following steps:

    • Open Control Panel.
    • Open the Hardware and Sound setting.
    • Open the Sound setting.
    • Select the Recording tab and double-click your microphone you have selected as the default recording device.
    • Click on the Level tab and reduce the Microphone Boost setting. Note: This setting may not be available for some microphones.

You may also be able to reduce the feedback loop by selecting the Enhancement tab in the microphone's properties page and enabling one of the following options:

    • Enable Noise Suppression
    • Enable Acoustic Echo Cancellation

Note: These settings are audio hardware and software specific and may not be available for all microphones.

Let us know if that worked out for you.

    Microphone Feedback loop

    microphone speaker feedback

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

In order to help you with the appropriate troubleshooting steps, please reply with the following details:

    • When you say that, “you receive feedback between the microphone and the speaker” are you referring to the voice that repeats when you say something on the Microphone?
    • Are you using an inbuilt microphone or an external microphone? If you are using an external microphone, please help us with the make and model of the microphone.
    • Which version of Windows is installed on the computer currently? To check type:
winver in the search bar on the Taskbar and hit Enter.

If you want to listen to the things on your headphone that you say on the Microphone you can try changing the Listen to this device option for the Microphone that you are using and see if that helps. Please follow the steps mentioned below to change
    the settings.

    1. Right click on Sound icon on the
      Taskbar
      and select Open Sound Settings.
    2. Click on Sound Control Panel.
    3. Click on Recording tab.
    4. Double click on the Microphone that you are using.
    5. Click on Listen Tab.
    6. Select Listen to this device
if you want to listen to your voice on the Headphone or Clear
Listen to this device if you do not want to listen to your voice on the Headphone.
    7. Click on Apply and OK.

Please reply with the status of the issue, we will be glad to help you further.

    Regards,
