Microphone for windows 10 is bad. Help!

Hello, recently my mic for my laptop has become really bad, as my friends said that I sound as if I am speaking through something that is covering my mic. They can barely hear what I am saying and when I listened to myself, all I basically heard was static and other noises and I can barely hear myself. I've tried to uninstall my mic and reinstall it, change my mic, troubleshoot, look for an update and restart my computer but nothing works. Please help, as I have an ASUS laptop and will like to find a fix to my mic. Thank You.

    :)
