Windows 10: Microphone is too quiet in certain apps.

So I have a condenser microphone connected to my computer. It was working perfectly until a few weeks ago when it became too quiet in some apps. It's too quiet in browsers Google Chorome and Opera GX and games Valorant. However, it works just fine in Adobe Audition, Discord, and other apps.Another thing I want to point out is my computer doesn't seem to recognize my voice when I try to set up my microphone in Speech Recognition.Hoping to find a fix for this.

Windows 10 Game DVR: Microphone is way too quiet

If you've already adjusted the volume and boost for your microphone and it's still too quiet, it could be a driver issue.

I'd recommend reinstalling the microphone drivers through Device Manager. Here are the steps:

- Press Windows Key+X and choose Device Manager.

- Find your microphone in the list.

- Right-click it and choose Update Driver.

- If that doesn't work, try uninstalling it and then scan for hardware changes to reinstall the driver.

If it's still too quiet, test to see if the same problem occurs on another PC if you have one available.

Thanks for replying.

Pleas follow the steps to run Microphone troubleshooter.

• Type troubleshooting in search.
• Open it and click on view all on left side.
• Find Recording Audio and run it and check if it helps.

One more thing I would suggest you to check in program and features if you have any sound or recording application installed by Lenovo.

If yes I suggest either disable it or remove it and check if it helps.

Microphone went REALLY quiet suddenly... help!

Hey! Thanks for replying: Allow apps to access your microphone is already turned on. 1. Troubleshooting all three gave me successes. They are all fine. 2. Microphone I am using is enabled and is the
default device. 3. Microphone is already set up. 4. A. Roll back driver is greyed out. B. Uninstalling the driver and restarting did not work. still have the issue C. Microphone is still really quiet after this step. Help!!
