    Microphone not detected problem


    Hello! I have a Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 running on Windows 10. I have this problem that I cannot use my microphone. I plug in my earphone and I can listen to music normally but the microphone is apparently not detected as it keeps showing "not plugged in" although I did. Before, I can still use it without any problems but one day I found out that the microphone did not work anymore. When I plug the earphone into my smartphone, I can still use the microphone so certainly it is my laptop's error. What is the problem with my laptop and how to fix it? I searched on Google and some of the results implie

    Microphone not detected

    I've run it, it says the problem was 'Generic audio driver'. But I don't actually feel any problems on playing audios. My problem was about external microphones not detected, this laptop wont detect any external microphones
    plugged in, it will always use the internal microphone. I've done the troubleshoot (recording audio) and the troubleshoot said they can't detect the problem.

    Microphone on Headphones Not Detected (Windows 10)

    I gave you many steps to force the headset microphone to show up. They would take more than an hour to perform, plus the way a forums works is interactively so we don't just give up after the first post but use feedback about your results to suggest more
    steps.

    I suggest you to run a Hardware and Devices troubleshooter.

    Please follow the below mentioned steps to run
    Hardware and Devices troubleshooter:

    • Search for Troubleshooting in the
      Search box      , and run it.
    • Select view all in the left pane of troubleshooting Window.
    • Click on the Hardware and Devices, and follow the
      on-screen instructions.
