    Hey, I updated my computer from windows 8.1 to 10 the other day and ever since all my microphones have been sounding really bad (the sound quality is really bad compared to how it used to be). I never installed any program or used any modifiers for my mic before and when I upgraded I reset my computer entirely, so I figured it´d work just like before. I haven't been able to find someone with the same problem while searching online so I don't know what to do. I can't find any microphone settings except for which apps are allowed to use it and settings for Cortana (which I have turned off). I have tried three different mics and also tried my main one on another device and the problem only occurs on my computer. I have an ASUS laptop which is supposed to be able to run windows 10, everything else seems to work fine. Any help or tips on how I might solve this or at least improve my mic quality are greatly appreciated.

    Hello everyone. I updated my Sony vaio laptop yesterday with windows 10 and so far I regret I update. The sound is really bad and I have no issue on device manager. Also it takes longer to load windows10 then windows 8 with a i5 processor. Any suggestion?It
    is necessary to erase "windows old folder"? Thank you in advance.

    The same here i upgraded mine also and sound is really bad ............i just cannot get answers and have tried every thing with no joy Microphone sounds really bad after windows 10 upgrade :(

    Windows 10 upgrade problem, no input accepted

    I really hate having to come here and ask for help, but I really am stumped. It hurts my geek pride. I have a PC with fairly modern hardware in it. It has a p8p67 pro in it. I have tried upgrading windows 10 on it twice now. Both times I have had the same result.

    After windows finishes upgrading it goes to the log in/set up screen. I can't do anything. No keyboard or mouse input is accepted.

    I will list some, or hopefully all, of the troubleshooting steps I have tried:
    • Move keyboard and mouse to different USB ports.
    • Try different keyboard or mouse.
    • Restart computer, repeatedly.
    • Google for related issues.
    • Update Bios, because why not.
    • Create boot media and revert to windows 7.
    The windows 10 system restore boot media works fine with keyboard and mouse. All USB ports work in windows 7. I don't know what is wrong. I suspect that windows 10 is lacking a driver of some sort, but since the computer accepts no input I have no way of checking for which driver let alone installing it.

    Please help me figure this out. If I have to revert back to windows 7 again, I am not going to get it upgraded to windows 10. Thank you in advanced.
