  1. Microphone 'volume' keeps changing for no reason.

My RIG 400 headset has always worked perfectly on my Xbox One, Macbook Pro, and my old Windows 8 pc that was thrown together with spare parts. I bought a $4000 gaming PC in July and have had nothing but trouble.

At first, the microphone input is too quiet, I need to boost it by 30 for it to be a bearable volume for those I am talking to - a simple enough workaround. The real persistent issue is that when I'm talking to people online with this headset my voice randomly goes quiet and loud at undetermined points throughout a regular conversation.

I need this fixed, everything is the same except for the new PC and I'm hoping there is something I can do that doesn't involve packing my PC up and sending it in for maintenance. I've tried Facebook and discord and the problem is on both platforms, I've tried playing with settings in discord like toggling input sensitivity and auto gain and the problem is still there.

    Please help.

    :)
