  1. Microsoft Account Lock Out BUT also unable to log into brand new PC with Windows 10

Bought a new PC. Spent first 2 days setting it up, adding software, and e-mail, including system updates. Set up log in PIN with my microsoft account abd widows 10. After restarting the PC, it states the PIN won't work now, set up a new password - it directs me to my MS Account. I attempt to log into my microsoft account but the password is not working.

Background, I moved 1.5 years ago switching e-mail accounts. I updated my MS account with all new e-mail and address, but apparently the the security confirmation still has the old e-mail address. I have zero ability to retrieve e-mails from that defunct accounts as it was a related to cable TV service I no longer use. MS Account continuously wants to send verification to my old e-mail address.

I found a link to have my account verified, which I successfully did. I logged into the security update portion in an attempt to update the bad e-mail address. I updated with a cell number with the MS account response telling me it is "pending." HOWEVER, this is a 30 day pending, which it never says that, and for which because I have NO WAY to verify my account because it still wants to send it to the old e-mail address, I CAN NOT LOG INTO MY BRAND NEW PC for the next 30 days until the security update takes affect. Even if I try to cancel, it says I do not have that access or it wants to send me a verification to the OLD E-MAIL ADDRESS. HELP HELP. Is there anything I can do, with out resetting the entire PC ahead of Oct 22nd?

    :)

    Windows 10 Tweaks

As you may already know, Windows 10 (as well as Windows 8) allow you to log in with a valid Microsoft account, instead of creating a local account that only works on your machine. However, you may prefer to keep a local account for privacy reasons. If you do, though, some Windows 10 features—like Cortana—may not work. Despite the default behavior, the Windows 10 Store is not one of them. You can still log in to your Microsoft account for just the Store without switching to a full Microsoft account. The process, however, is not terribly obvious. To do so, follow these steps:

    • Launch the Store from your Start menu.
    • Click the user icon next to the search box.
    • Click “Sign-in” from the menu that appears.
    • Choose “Microsoft account” and log in like normal.
    • When the “Make it yours” box appears do not enter your password. Instead, click “Sign in to just this app instead.”

register PC with microsoft; use local account to log in

Just simply log in with your Microsoft Account.
Switch to Microsoft Account in Windows 10

Just go back to using a local account:
Switch to Local Account in Windows 10

Hopefully the tutorials are step by step enough.

Microsoft Account Lock Out BUT also unable to log into brand new PC with Windows 10

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
