Windows 10: Microsoft Authenticator App for Android Question

Hi.


I do not know if this is the right location, but I setup the Microsoft Authenticator App on my Android phone to allow me an alternative way to sign in to my Microsoft Account. I tried testing the App feature with my computer by logging out of Microsoft and logging back in. I did not see an option when I logged in to enter the code listed in the Authenticator App. My questions are:


1. Did I do something incorrectly when trying to sign back into Microsoft or does this option only work when I am signing in from a new device?


2. The Authenticator App keeps changing the displayed code every 30 seconds. Is this something that the app will always keep doing regardless of whether or not I have signed in to my Microsoft account or is the 30-second code change supposed to stop after I sign in to Microsoft?

Microsoft 2 Step authentication on Android MROBE request

What does it say, when you tab 'What is this' next to the big MROBE letters - I assume this is what you wonder about?

Microsoft's account app for Android is not updated since 2014 and it only works with Microsoft accounts. Two-step authentication is an industry standard, this is why I suggest get the Google app instead.
