Windows 10: Microsoft basic graphics adapter not updating to Intel HD Graphics

so i had this nvidia graphics adapter and whenever i updated its driver it only made my screen black and i cant see anything so i had to remove the driver update everytime because i though i can fix it somehow with something, but i got tired one day and just deleted it i had an Intel HD Graphics card,

i didnt think that much of it because it only gave me problemes, but after i updated to windows 10, my Intel Graphics card just changed to Windows Basic Display Adapter and my Display doesnt get detected at all, nothing about my Display shows up i have a laptop with a display connected so i feel better, i tried updating the driver but it only says that the best driver is installed already,


and i swear i tried every option i could to fix my problem, i still have thing probleme to this day and i have no idea how to fix it.

i just like right NOW it finished the Windows big update thing it took so long, and now i cant play Minecraft because of it


is does anyone knows a solution for this please help me out, my pc was heating so hard everytime i do something that needs good graphics, i might just not be able to play any good game i like because of this :

Intel HD Graphics, Help!!

Hello,

On my device manager under display adapters it says Intel(R) HD Graphics Family but in the adapter string it says I have Intel(R) HD Graphics 4400. Does this mean I have Graphics 4400?

If I do have Graphics 4400 I tried installing it in display adapters by

Update Driver Software - Browse my computer for driver software - Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer - Intel(R) HD Graphics 4400

But then it says the driver selected for this device does not support this version of windows

Im running a HP Probook 430 G2 with 64-bit Windows 10 Pro.

Could I get help on how to install this.

try this, it works for many people:


1.- Download from this site the beta zip file (win64_154012.zip), and not the exe file:

Download Beta Intel® Graphics Driver for Windows® 10 and Windows 7*/8.1* [15.40]

(for 32-bit download win32_154012.zip).

2.- Unzip the driver to C:\Windows\Temp folder.

3.- Right click on Start and choose Device Manager, Display adapters,
Intel(R) HD Graphics Family.

4.- Double click to open it (or right click and choose Properties).

5.- Click on the Driver tab and then on Update Driver.

6.- On the new tab click on Browse my computer for driver software.

7.- On the new tab click on Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer.

8.- On the new tab click on Have Disk.

9.- Click on Browse and then choose Windows\Temp\win64_154012\Graphics\igdlh64.inf
(igdlh32.inf for 32-bit) and click on Open and then
OK.

10..- On the new tab where Intel (R) HD Graphics Family is showing click on
Next and let the driver to install.

11.- The new Driver Version is 20.19.15.4326 and is digitally signed.

Be aware to follow step by step all the procedure and do not try to use the wizard to update the driver directly, in many cases it won’t work.
