Windows 10: Microsoft C++ Runtime Library Error

I'm having a problem with my graphics card driver. I have Nvidia GeForce 410m on my laptop. Last night I was updating it, but this morning I want to play Borderlands and it says "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library. Runtime Error! Program : D:/Borderlands/Binaries/Borderlands.exeThis application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information. I tried to launch other games to like COD4 MW, Fa4 Cry 2, Assassin's creed Brotherhood, Mafia 2, But nothing is opened properly. Everything says error is this because I upda

Let’s try the following methods and check if it helps.



Method 1:



I would suggest you to perform a clean boot.

Clean boot will check if any third party application is causing the issue, as clean boot helps in eliminating software conflicts.

Method 2:

You can uninstall any existing Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Package and install the latest Microsoft Visual C++ and check if it helps.



Step 1: To Uninstall the package:

a. Open Programs and Features.

b. From the list, find Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Package and click on it.

c. Right click on it and select Uninstall

d. Restart the computer.



Step 2: Download and install the latest package and see if it helps.

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime LIbrary Error

I have a similar problem, except I'm trying to install the DirecTV player for the first time. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling all Visual C++ Packages, as well as attempting to install after a clean boot as suggested in

another similar thread, but neither worked. I even tried installing the DirecTV Player when I had no Visual C++ packages installed just to see what would happen, but I still received the same error box during installation as described in the original post
(which I find very curious).

The installation says that it has completed successfully and it shows up in my programs list, but I am still prompted to install the player when I try to watch a show from my computer.

Any other ideas or suggestions?
