Cloud Site List Management experience for IE mode in Microsoft Edge

With a little over 6 months left until the Internet Explorer 11 (IE11) desktop application retires on June 15, 2022, customers around the world like you are making the transition from the legacy IE11 browser to the more modern and secure Microsoft Edge browser with Internet Explorer (IE) mode. Microsoft Edge gives your organizations—and importantly, your users—a dual engine advantage that supports both legacy and modern websites. In fact, Microsoft Edge is the only browser that offers built-in support for legacy Internet Explorer-based websites and applications.

To help with the transition—and to help manage IE mode moving forward—we’ve been hard at work on new ways to simplify IE mode management. To that end, we are excited to announce that the Cloud Site List Management experience has moved out of preview and is now generally available for all customers.

The new Cloud Site List Management experience lets customers host their enterprise site lists in an authenticated cloud endpoint through the Microsoft 365 admin center instead of relying on on-premises infrastructure. Customers can create, import, and export site lists in the experience, as well as audit changes to site list entries. For even more flexibility, the experience also lets customers publish multiple site lists which they can assign to different groups of devices. To get started with the Cloud Site List Management experience, visit the Org settings page, then select Microsoft Edge site lists.

To celebrate its general availability, we’ve partnered with the Microsoft Mechanics team and resident IT whiz Jeremy Chapman to break down the new Cloud Site List Management experience and teach customers how easy it is to host their own enterprise site lists in the cloud for IE mode in Microsoft Edge. The future of Internet Explorer on Windows 10 and Windows 11 is in Microsoft Edge with IE mode. If you haven’t started transitioning to Microsoft Edge and setting up IE mode, we recommend starting today. The first step to set up IE mode is to understand if your organization has legacy dependencies (ie. your organization has needed to use an IE browser to access specific sites and apps in the past). Edge Search Does Not Permit Change of Region

I got these suggestions from the Microsoft Community forum.No. 1 worked for me:

Thank you for posting the query on Microsoft Community. I am glad to assist you on this.
We have reproduce the issue here and we are able to access non-regional search for google using Microsoft Edge.
I would suggest you to try the below steps and check if it helps.
Step 1:
Clear browsing data option of Microsoft Edge and check if you face the issue. To do so perform the steps below.

Click on the More actions icon next to the feedback icon present on top right corner of the Project Spartan homepage.

Select Settings and click on Choose what to clear.

Check the boxes Browsing history, Cookies and saved website data and Cached data and files and click on Clear.

Step 2:
I suggest you to create a new user account and check if the issue occurs.

Go to Settings.

Choose Accounts and then select Family and other users.

Select add someone else on this PC.

Enter a user name and hit next.

Click on Finish.

Sign out from the current Account and Log into the new account.

Step 3:
It could also happen because of network issue. I suggest you to try with different network connection and check if it helps.
