Microsoft Confirms New Windows 10 Build Coming This Month

    Hi there

I notice that I'm not getting any attempts to download build 9932 any more and the download is now merely set to FAST rather than the link to FBL_AWESOME etc.

But still hoping for another build soon -- I want to see what they are doing to the start menu mash up !! and hopefullu better integration between Control Panel and settings.

It would be great too if Modern Metro apps operating on the DESKTOP (in windows) could be BORDERLESS with no titles. A click say inside the application area could restore the windows border so you could close / re-size the app.

I like the idea of dynamically updating windows -- especially if you are working on something else say a spreadsheet at the same time. (Rather like the old "Gadgets".

    Cheers

  2. Brian: 18th and the 26th - I put you in for both, but redlined the 26th. Someone else might want that date (if you prefer the 26th, I'll redline the 18th)
    futurdreamz: 27th - Done
jeff: You already have the 16th and the other dates you chose (17th, 24th) are already taken.

it's enough just to keep the table up to date without multiple choices and multiple members
so to keep it simple: one date, one member.
when there gone, they're gone *Sad

that's just for the table I maintain - post any and all predictions on the thread for prosperity.

    The winner gets .....
a FREE Win7 or Win8.1 upgrade to Win10 for up to one year after Release to Manufacturing!

Oh, good I was truly worrying that we would really have to pay an arm and leg for a TP copy. . .*Redface

  9. That's why I picked the last Friday. Based on previous releases it seems that Microsoft likes to release the new build on a Friday so they already have some bug reports waiting for them the next day instead of twiddling their fingers for a couple days while the beta players are working and thus not playing with the betas as much. I'm pretty certain that it will for sure be the Second last Friday in February, but that's taken so I'm gabbing the 27th.

Does a new build involve downloading a new .ISO and reinstalling ? (just getting started, be nice) *sarc

  11. Nope. Is done straight through Windows Update. It should even do it automatically, rebooting the computer when you're sleeping so you come back to the latest and greatest.

Microsoft Confirms New Windows 10 Build Coming This Month

MS released Windows build 9926 and corrected some well known bugs present in 9879, and I think that the preoccupation in releasing update "previews" more oftenly is very welcome. I bet we're gonna have a new preview on 13th.

  14. But Lee, you have to pick a date in the pool to win.

Oh and the FREE upgrade is the RTM not the TP
