Windows 10: MICROSOFT-CORP-MSN-AS-BLOCK. seems to be downloading my p[c to an address of 111.221.104.12

Hope You are all safe from Covid and healthy !



Have an issue I just picked up via a trace . My hard drive after a reboot was constantly running 10 minutes after my pc rebooted . Started a trace and picked up this address which seems to be associated with Azure and MICROSOFT-CORP-MSN-AS-BLOCK.

Trying to deduce more info from the trace as to what it was doing but did not get the beginning or possibly the end .


Does anyone know why this IP address would be downloading from my pc ?

FYI : I do not use Azure and never have .


Somehow I have an account on my Business but have never used it and no subscriptions either .


Any clues/help would be greatly appreciated

I have my corporate exchange server configured and working for calendar and mail, but it will not let me access my corp contacts. It is selected in the settings but does seem to by completing this task.

Why are my downloads blocked?

Your first step is to figure out what is blocking downloads. Then you can formulate a plan to address it.

 

Windows 10 forced download

I kind of solved it myself. I can't be arsed with uninstalling this or that, so I just took ownership of c:\Windows\System32\Tasks\Microsoft\Windows\Setup\ and then deleted everything related to gwx in Task scheduler. That should effectively block it.
Now I just need to find list of IP addresses to block that are related to all possible telemetry garbage and similar stuff.
