Windows 10: Microsoft Defender notifies me about a virus/threat while Microsoft Safety Scanner runs a...

Hi everyone!


I am using a Windows 10 Home, 64 bit.


While running a full scan on my computer using Microsoft Safety Scanner latest version, I got a notification from Microsoft Security or Microsoft Defender, not sure what's the correct name, saying that it found a threat/virus. The thing that doesn't make sense for me is that at the end of the full scan, Microsoft Safety Scanner returned no warning, threats or viruses notifications. Is there an explanation to this?


I managed to remove the threats using Microsoft Security, but why didn't Safety Scanner detect them?

Need help/suggestions to remove this virus. Microsoft Safety Scanner was suggested and tried but it could not remove one

which of course is this Zeus b2957e since it is still there. I am a novice compared to most/all of you so I am up for any help/suggestions.

The malware listed on Microsoft Safety Scanner it could not remove= Exploit:Java/Obfuscator.W

Microsoft Safety Scanner - Free Virus Scan with the Microsoft Safety Scanner


I've run several scans with a couple other programs and they found nothing.
It loaded fine today using firefox.

Apparently I'm the only one having this issue?
